- Meet travelers in the lobby or introduce yourself out in the gardens. Walk around and get to know some travelers while enjoying the beautiful plants.
- Let everyone know we will meet in the restaurant for happy hour, and then everyone will eat dinner together afterward.
- Find out who wants to participate in optional activities
- Give everyone ample time to sign cards for the tour guide/bus driver. Ensure that the amount collected for the tip meets at least the minimum stamdard.
- Ask for bamboo straws on day 1
- Guides and bus drivers are very accommodating - willing to make special stops, share local foods, etc.
- In small boutique hotels, accommodations may vary from one room/block to the next.
